I was a solo traveler across the galaxy, exploring some new-to-me things in Disney's Hollywood Studios on a recent work trip to Walt Disney World. My thirst, my curiosity, and an Advanced Dining Reservation made 60 days in advance, led me to a corner of the planet Batuu and Oga's Cantina.
This place was so authentic (to its fictional roots) and cool. Crowded with other weary travelers, strangers bellied up to the bar or shared standing tables. Bartenders welcomed guests with the traditional greeting "Bright suns!" Storm troopers occasionally wandered through, sniffing out trouble. A robot DJ spun space tunes, and the crowd would sometimes get rowdy in response to bartender antics.
-Drinks:
The drinks are the stars at Oga's, with only a few forgettable food options analogous to Chex Mix. You'd be better off eating at nearby Ronto's Roasters or Docking Bay 7 for tastier, more substantial food on a Star Wars theme. But the drinks! Options both alcoholic and non were a treat to see and to eat. Fog, popping, bubbles, and even a numbing effect made the cocktails and mocktails Instagram-worthy. There are also exclusive Batuu beers on tap.
Oga's reservations and even walk-ups are easier to come by now, five years into Galaxy's Edge's opening. I highly recommend popping in, soaking up the atmosphere, and downing a Blue Bantha or two.
